Business Advisers
Donate approximately 20 hours of your time over the course of the week to advise and mentor a student team as they operate their virtual company. No particular skills are required except a general understanding of business operations and a good sense of humour.
"NZBW is an exciting and fun filled way to enrich the knowledge and experiences of a number of secondary school students. Total involvement and commitment just happens. Students benefit enormously in the space of a mere five days. A life changing experience for them if ever there was one! My own children have benefited from participation and so have our staff in their as capacity as business advisers. Essential!" Steve Chaning-Pearce, Pridex Industries Limited
"New Zealand Business Week is a very rewarding week for both students and advisers. As an advisor my first observation was the ability, on a purely academic level, of the students. Many things have changed since my school days. Suddenly you are placed in the spotlight with the student expecting great things from you. The competition is intense and makes for an action packed, full-on week. Well worth the experience." Grant Anderson, Fuji Xerox NZ Ltd
"My initial involvement with NZBW was as a Business Advisor. This was an incredibly exciting and rewarding experience - working with bright, energetic and enthusiastic students who were focused on learning about business was great. In fact I enjoyed it so much I am now a NZBW Trustee. I wholeheartedly recommend it. " Fraser Bell, Marketing Manager, Massey University College of Business
