Students
At NZBW you will be able to interact with the local and national business community. You will be given the opportunity to learn about business by running your own company in a computer simulation of two New Zealand businesses. During the week you will form closer links between education and industry as you are given the opportunity of working with adults form the business community.
NZBW offers students a wide variety of experiences using a number of core competencies such as:
- Teamwork - each student has a role assigned by the team
- Time management - deadlines for submission are non-negotiable!
- Problem Solving - calculate the cost of operations, profit & the effect or share price
- Social Interaction - intra and inter team activities
- Communication - Needs to be done quickly, clearly and unequivocally
- Stress management - managing multiple tasks
- Resource Control- the complexity of running a business
- Analytical Ability - assessing financial statements and outcome of decisions
- Technology - used to facilitate decision making
